Chilton Chine

Description

Chilton Chine starts to the north of the Military Road, passing under the road, alongside the small car park and over a series of small waterfalls and pools into the sea. The chine and beach can be accessed from the small car park on the west side, but the upper parts of the chine can be better viewed from the Isle of Wight Pearl site on the east. Isle of Wight Pearl also has a cafe and large car park.

Parking

Car park at top of Chilton Chine just west of the Isle of Wight Pearl car park and cycle rack in the car park.

Footpaths

The coastal path runs along the west side of the chine.

Beach Access

Access to the beach at Chilton Chine is currently closed (Feb 2014).
